Talk to Gynecologist on Vaginismus

Asking for Self, Female, 23 years old, ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI

I am 23 years old, and this is my first marriage.

I have been married for 6 months, but I have not been able to have sexual intercourse with my husband even once.

Whenever my husband tries to penetrate, I become extremely scared. My legs automatically close, and my whole body becomes stiff. I feel unable to relax, and penetration becomes impossible.

I do not have any problem with hugging, kissing, or other forms of intimacy. My fear starts only when vaginal penetration is attempted.

I would like to know if this is due to a physical or psychological condition, and I would appreciate your evaluation and treatment.

She is comfortable with normal affection such as hugging and kissing. The fear occurs only when penetration is attempted.

We would like to be evaluated for possible vaginismus or any other physical or psychological cause.

I can understand the emotional pain a couple can face in this situation. It may be a psychological issue or something else like vaginismus. Better to visit a gyaecologist for detailed evaluation.
