Asking for Sister, Female, 25 years old, Rawalpindi
Assalam o alikum Pls tag a gynaecologist. My sister, 25 years, is pregnant with her first child. She has had iron deficiency before with Hb levels below 9.7 previously but she took an iron medicine last month which improved her Hb to 10.4. It's her last month and she had to change her doctor for some reason. The new doctor has recommended 6 drips of veno***. Kindly guide if the Hb levels are normal for a safe delivery and whether she needs this many drips of veno***? Medical history: Blood transfusion due to pancytopenia
one drip with 2 ampules of venofer will be enough
10.4 is a bit low... U should go for one aur max two doses of venofer........
Continue with oral tablets no need of venofer
Go for i.v infusion of feriinject just once .plz do confirm that she is having iron deficiency before giving it.
what was her weight before pregnancy
Iron required =wt before preg×16×0.24+500
pancytopenia means other blood cells also low...what you r advised for that
serum ferettin kia hai?
10.4 p tu oral lain venofer ki need nahe hai.
if hb less than 10.5 then she needs iron drips
