Talk to Gynecologist on Venofer Drips In Last Month Of Pregnancy
Asking for Sister, Female, 25 years old, Rawalpindi
Assalam o alikum Pls tag a gynaecologist. My sister, 25 years, is pregnant with her first child. She has had iron deficiency before with Hb levels below 9.7 previously but she took an iron medicine last month which improved her Hb to 10.4. It's her last month and she had to change her doctor for some reason. The new doctor has recommended 6 drips of veno***. Kindly guide if the Hb levels are normal for a safe delivery and whether she needs this many drips of veno***? Medical history: Blood transfusion due to pancytopenia

Continue with oral tablets no need of venofer

Go for i.v infusion of feriinject just once .plz do confirm that she is having iron deficiency before giving it.
