My father diagnosed with Hepatitis C In ultrasound tumor appears. In detailed CT scan there is some problem showing too . Please tell if it is cancer . alpha fetoprotein is 9.62
Thanks alot for asking. Yes it seems to be Liver Cancer. Fortunately it is possible to treat it. Best option is LIVER TRANSPLANT BUT if you are not interested in transplant then First option is surgery to remove the tumor and second option which some times may be the first option depending upon the other criteria is RFA...... TACE can be exercised in some cases.

One doctor recommend TACE .he doesn't mention RFA . which option is best in this condition ?
we are really worried as TACE is very expensive .
resection is better at this stage.

is it possible that if alpha fetoprotein test is normal then also there is cancer ?
