Talk to Liver on Liver Issue?

my mother was recently diagnosed with cholesterol (223 mg/dl) She has difficulty putting her weight on her heels. She is also gaining weight but her diet is same as before, doesn't eat that much to gain. She sometimes feel her stomach become hard. she also gets a little bloody "bawaseer" sometimes. recently, she is noticing some black patches on her skin, neck and her ears so she is worried. her maternal side has liver issues so she is afraid it is her liver acting up. please guide what is happening and what kind of doctor is suitable to get her checked properly. thank you
