Asking For Self, Male 70, grw
my father age 70 undergo bypass about 1 year ago has history of bp and sugar bit bp and sugar remain stable HBa1C 6.2 conducted RFT test regularly worried about his rise in creatinine and low eGFr and mildly high potassium is this disease treatable to stop test peogression
Plz consult online, as we need more history and information, he needs nephrologist opinion
He has protein in urine and probably has what is called diabetic nephropathy. Important is keeping BP and sugar under control, which you say is the case now, but presumably wasn't so in the past. This has affected his kidneys, it may not be reversible but as you say progression needs to be slowed down (unless the one test result you shared is not representative of the true picture). Medicines like Misar are good at improving long-term outcomes, although potassium can sometimes be a bit high with them and with dietary measures (low potassium diet) in the first instance it may be manageable to continue Misar.
Please contact to Shifa Intaernational Hospital Faisalabad for in clinic appointment. 042-32591427, 51-53
