Talk to Nephrologist on Right Sided Flank Pain
Asking for Self, Female, 29 years old, Islamabad
A 29-year-old female with complex kidney history ...severe flank pain after starting aldactone.
Key Information:
Symptoms: Persistent flank pain (6/10) for 5 days, brain fog, and nausea.
Medical History: Horseshoe/malrotated kidneys, hydronephrosis, and partial PUJ obstruction.
Medications: Recently started Glucophage 1500 mg, Aldactone 50 mg, Rovista, and Ezita.
Lab Results: Creatinine rose from 0.65 to 0.76; eGFR dropped from ~112 to 94; potassium is 4.0. Inquiry:
Do I need to repeat RFT/electrolytes or imaging and whether to continue the current medications.
I know the obvious answer would be go to the doctor, but my nephrologist is not available until next week and I'm in pain, with all these containers around the city and pain I'm unable to travel. Please suggest something.

Switch aldactone to amlodipine 5 mg once day.
