My father is was diagnosed about 2 months ago with Carotid Artey blockage he is a stroke patient and is being treated since 2 months, soo far he is alright we can say but he is wk and less responsive which doctor say is okay, we know recovery is slow in this condition but these days he is feeling very down problem in communicating voice issues and eating disorders can you please guide how should we treat and precautions? Your father needs regular follow ups from your neurologist. Best things are to continue medicine, extra care to prevent fall and of u see any decline in his health , consult your doctor.
Continue physiotherapy, speech therapy and rehabilitation.

Best thing is to avoid hypoglycemia ( very low blood sugar). You can give small but frequent meals.
