Talk to Neuro Physician on Hand Tremors For 4 Years - Should I See A Neurologist?

I am a 20-year-old male. I have had tremors in both hands for the last 4 years, with the left hand being worse. The tremors occur when I hold something or keep my hands stretched out. They make it difficult to perform fine tasks. I also experience excessive sweating. I have not been evaluated by a neurologist yet because I cannot afford it. What could be the possible cause? Which tests should I get done, and do I need to see a neurologist?

No you don’t need to see a neurologist. You are suffering from Benign Familial Essential Tremor. It runs in families. Your father would have had the tremor but it may have been too mild and probably was not noticed. This tremor gets worse you are when with other people .
