This area is supplied by Cervical nerve root C 6 which is commonly compressed in the wrist in a tight compartment called carpal tunnel. This syndrome is called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome . Treatment is either a supportive splint which can be used day and night. Sometimes a steroid injection into the carpal tunnel does the trick . If steroid injection doesn’t work you might need surgery
