Asking For Mother, Female 47, Gujranwala and Lahore

Assalam o Alaikum Doctor,

My mother is a diabetic patient for the last 4–5 years and takes regular medicine. Once a month she also takes Ultrafosin as per doctor’s advice.

Last week, she had gastric issues and headache. She took Ultrafosin and after some time Citro Soda. The next day she started having severe headache, back pain (below shoulders on both sides), and vomiting for 2–3 days. After treatment, vomiting stopped but back pain increased, and she felt weak and nauseous.

On the third day, she also developed Bell’s palsy. We have consulted gastro, neuro, and ortho specialists, and she was admitted for a few days. CT and MRI brain reports are normal, but pain and high BP are still not under control.

It’s been one week and the pain has not improved, and no clear diagnosis has been made yet. Kindly review and guide us about further treatment or tests.

Thank you.
