I am a 43-year-old male with C3–C6 cervical spinal cord compression on MRI. I have long-term fatigue, muscle spasms in my arms, legs and back, pain, and excessive sleepiness. My blood tests and other investigations have been normal, and physiotherapy has not significantly helped.
A neurosurgeon has suggested endoscopic surgery. Could these symptoms, especially the muscle spasms and fatigue, be caused by cervical cord compression? What are the risks of delaying surgery, and which symptoms could realistically improve after surgery?
