Asking For Mother, Female 72, Lahore
My mother has been diagnosed withInvasive Breast Carcinome, no special type (ductal), grade 2 breast cancer, her doppler ultra sound report, mammography report and biopsy report is attached. Tumor size is 17mm as per Ultrasound.
Please look into attached report and guide which treatment plan we follow
1) Mastectomy and then hormone therapy for 5 years 2) Lumpectomy and then hormone therapy for 5 years 3) Lumpectomy then radiations and then hormone therapy for 5 years
I am so much confused and depressed and need guideline, please guide, Jazzak Allah
I appreciate that you are worried for your mom.
I will suggest lumpectomy followed by radiotherapy.
we need to review again pathology after surgery for ONCOtype DX . that will help in taking decision for adjuvant chemotherapy.
yes, she need hormonal treatment for 5 years with bisphosphonate for 3 years
We have to see lot of things prior to proceed breast cancer treatment. Decision varies from physician to physician. there is no single answer of you questions. I suggest ho for surgery first, after that you can discuss next plan of action accordingly. bc surgical outcome also help us to for future plan and decisions
