Talk to Cancer Specialist / Oncologist on Cancer In Uterus

person-avatar

Asking for Mother, Female, 56 years old, Karachi

Cancer was found in the biopsy of the uterus. Uterus was removed in the operation but the report says there's > 50% development around the walls where uterus was attached. Doctor says that this can be removed through Radio therapy. Is there any way this can be dealt with medicines ?

Attached is the biopsy report. Furthermore, once the therapy is done, what sort of follow ups are done and how frequently? Like yearly followups, or bi yearly followups should be done?

Thanks for sending detailed biopsy report. No doubt this is considered to be an early staged T1bN0Mo Ca uterus, if CT (not provided) doesn’t show any spread to other parts of the body.I would consider only possibility of locoregional Radiotherapy to be on the safer side.No chemotherapy. However, just consult some clinical Oncologist nearby with Radiotherapy facility who will be going through all Radiology work up.I foresee very good outcome if properly managed.

Before surgery MRI / CT Scan was done or not. In this operation lymph nodes are not removed and fluid cytology not done. Was LN was enlarged or not? Biopsy report showed involvement of lower segment and depth of invasion is >50%. If no imaging done before, then will need imaging /staging workup. For localized disease only radiation will be required.

Hi.
According to your histopathology report , surgery is well performed , however lymph node status is not known. An MRI/ CT will help and at this point Radiation will be good option.
Please visit an oncologist with reports.
Best.
