Cancer is a condition that not only affects the individual but the whole family, and it is usually not a sudden emergency that must be managed in a day or two. In most cases, doctors plan treatment after proper staging, diagnosis, and multidisciplinary discussion — to ensure the safest and most appropriate long-term outcome.

A decision involving such a large financial burden (like 15 lac rupees) should not be made in haste. Managing cancer is a long-term journey, and spending everything suddenly may create future treatment difficulties, especially if chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, or long-term follow-up is needed later.

Please be aware that in Pakistan, there are multiple well-established tertiary cancer centers that provide treatment at highly subsidized or even free-of-cost, depending on eligibility.
