Asking For Other, Male 29, Sheikhupura
Hello, I am posting this on behalf of a friend.
They have a medical emergency at home (Cancer Case) and need to get surgery done from Shaukat Khanam Hospital.
The hospital is asking for 15 lacs and they don't have enough funds to pay for the surgery. He also told me that they didn't qualify him for their free treatment program.
He needs help with fund raising or finding a good hearted doctor that can help him out without the heavy charges.
It needs to be done within 1 week.
If you have any reference in Shaukat Khanam or know a doctor that can help them, please let us know.
Thank you.
If you can visit me,we will discuss this case, and try to find out any solution.
kindly share bank details

Cancer is a condition that not only affects the individual but the whole family, and it is usually not a sudden emergency that must be managed in a day or two. In most cases, doctors plan treatment after proper staging, diagnosis, and multidisciplinary discussion — to ensure the safest and most appropriate long-term outcome.
A decision involving such a large financial burden (like 15 lac rupees) should not be made in haste. Managing cancer is a long-term journey, and spending everything suddenly may create future treatment difficulties, especially if chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, or long-term follow-up is needed later.
Please be aware that in Pakistan, there are multiple well-established tertiary cancer centers that provide treatment at highly subsidized or even free-of-cost, depending on eligibility.
Before fundraising or arranging expensive surgery, it is better to:
✔ Confirm the exact diagnosis and staging
✔ Take a second opinion from an oncologist
✔ Explore financial support programs and welfare pathways available at cancer hospitals
✔ Avoid hasty decisions, and plan treatment strategically
Cancer treatment is not only about one surgery — it is a structured process. With the right guidance, the patient can receive appropriate care without unnecessary financial stress.
Duas for the patient and family.
