Talk to Cancer Specialist / Oncologist on Colorectal Adenocarcinoma

person-avatar

my father, Peshawar

Diagnosis: Well-differentiated adenocarcinoma in a background of tubulovillous adenoma. This indicates colon cancer, specifically malignant glandular tissue arising from a pre-cancerous polyp (adenoma).

Gross Description: Tumor located at 20 cm from anal verge, growing up to 30 cm. Ulcerated and irregular.

Microscopic Features: Malignant glandular cells with surrounding stromal (desmoplastic) reaction.

Is the cancer curable in my case? which oncologist should I go to for best treatment? What tests or scans do I need next?

20 cm from Anal verge, that is sigmoid colon.
therefore, your father has been suffering from adenocarcinoma of sigmoid colon.
he need staging work CT chest Abdomen and pelvis.
curability depends on staging.
till stage 3 we can cure with surgery and chemotherapy.
stage 4 no curable, but still treatable if your father performance status good and able to tolerate chemotherapy.
you need to do first CT scan.
