Presenting Complaints included severe headache and weight loss After CT scan multiple lesions were found in brain and surgery was performed at Omar Hospital by Dr Syed Asim Andrabi.Biopsy report says Metastatic Carcinoma with GATA Focal +ve and CK7 positive. CT CAP and Bone Scan has also been done but yet primary not found.Pt has also undergone radiotherapy at Inmol Cancer Hospital with 2 sessions of WBRT radiations.Further they are saying they have done what they can do.What we should do now for next treatment? Please guide us.Thank you
PET-CT to be performed . If still no primary found then label as the case “metastases of unknown primary “and give chemotherapy
Hello, thank you for posting your query. I’m sorry to know about your husband. He seems to have a cancer that has spread to his brain from somewhere else in the body. It may be from breast or even urinary bladder but we are still not sure based on the surgical specimen testing obtained from the brain. Moving forward, I would recommend to consider getting a PET/CT scan to look for primary cancer concealed in any part of the body. Please consider getting a second opinion on the biopsy sample of the specimen obtained from the brain as well. Radiation therapy to the brain is just a supportive and palliative treatment.
