Gee I've seen the biopsy. This is benign, not cancer.
But it is important considering young age of only 12 years and significant size of polyp of more than a cm, that you keep followup with a good experienced Gastroenterologist who knows about polyposis syndromes. If you cannot find such a Gastroenterologist than you additionally look for an Oncologist that knows about polyposis. A detailed review is needed with a good followup in case, the situation goes in line with polyposis syndromes.
In your case you might need keep an eye out for red-flags and you might need followup Colonoscopies.
