Talk to Cancer Specialist / Oncologist on Sclerosing Adenosis

Dear doctor,

I am seeking your opinion regarding my medical record. Here is my history: in October 2023, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I was asked to undergo a mammogram and breast ultrasound. By chance, the ultrasound revealed the presence of a star, and I had to undergo a biopsy. The results of the pathology examination indicated the absence of malignancy. I was then given the choice between immediate surgical intervention or systematic follow-up every 6 months. I opted for follow-up.

However, during a recent ultrasound, an evolution of sclerosing adenosis was observed, which increased from 12 mm to 15 mm. The doctors informed me that surgery was necessary as soon as possible, with a possibility that it could become malignant.

I am therefore seeking your opinion as an oncologist and professor. What would be the best approach in my situation?
