Asking For Self, Male 50, Islamabad
Assalam O Alaikum Dr. Sahiban,
I suffered a sports injury in 2007 that resulted in torn ACL in my left knee. I went for it reconstruction surgery. In 2013, I again injured my right knee while doing jogging. I neglected the pain, thinking it to be a minor issue. Few years later, I was on operation table again for ACL reconstruction on my right knee. Fast forward today, I have developed Arthritis in both my knees and are very painful. Last year, I also had PRP injections but don't see any improvement. I am having severe pain, particularly in my left knee especially when I bend my knee in prayer. I am still young for a total knee replacement. My question to doctors is what options either non surgical or surgical I have left and also who will be the best experienced orthopedic for my conditionsI should be contacting for treatment. JazakAllah Khair.

Walaikum Asalam dear. Very sorry to hear your condition. Yes you are still young to undergo TKR. You should regularly visit orthopaedic OPD where doctor regularly do your xray and give painkillers accordingly. Furthermore, intra articular steroids injections are also useful in your condition. Likewise, hyaluronic acid injections makes your knee lubricated and alleviate your pain.
Get your radiological record and consult with an Orthpaedic surgeon who will assess clinically and advice treatment Accordingly
