I had a non-displaced fracture distal phalanx of big toe almost 2 weeks ago and had a back slab in place.. Due to extreme pain, got x-ray again.. Plz suggest if it's still non-displaced or displaced? Can conservative management ok with it or do I need to opt for surgery? I hv a toddler and can't manage complete bed rest..
you have a toddler and cant manage bed rest but back slab is all that is needed. you just need to give it some rest and some time for it to heal. also take protein diet and calcium plus vit D supplements.
asslamo allycum, is there any wound over big toe , what is the mechanism of injury , is it possible you can forward me the followings. picture of big toe nail , xrays before the back slab , thanks
