I have ganglion cyst in my right hand wrist joint which hurts alot. I can't able to write anything on paper because hand is unable to tilt. Doctor prescribed me medicine but these can't reduce my pain. What to do? Pls suggest. Doctors said this by physical examination of me. I wanted to know how can It be confirmed that my wrist is developing cyst? By ultrasound or by MRI? Or I immobilize my hand or should do exercises?
Its a clinical diagnosis and if u just send me a picture i ll be able to diagnose no need of MRI OR ultrasound
post a short video or pic of lesion ?.
if you suspect this is a ganglion then this can be diagnosed with ultrasound. you can use your hands normally and if it hurts then surgery is recommended.
It’s commons problem sometimes it resolved by itself but usually it need to removed by surgery or injection aspiration. For pain use routine painkillers
post your clinical video of cyst or visit so that final recommendation can be made
Ganglion usually on back side of wrist.
it got prominent by flexing wrist.
It diagnosed on clinical grounds that is just by examining however foe legal purpose ultrasound can get. No need of MRI for this.
Options of treatment is non operative,
local injection and surgery.

Clinical examination and MRI are best diagnostic tools. Ganglion cyst benefits little by medication and requires either aspiration or surgical excision
It’s most likely a wrist ganglion. It’s a benign condition and only x rays of the wrist are needed and treatment is surgical excision. It’s a day care surgery and can be done under local anaesthesia. It’s a safe procedure.
