Asking for Self, Male, 27 years old, Islamabad
Dear Consultants, I hope you are well. I am a 27-year-old male and recently had a left-sided uncemented hip replacement. Today is my 8th day post-surgery. I have some flexion and abduction contractures, and I’ve attached my before-and-after X-rays. On the right side, the screws are for NOF fixation (Neck of Femur fixation).
I would really appreciate your advice on: • How long will the cut muscles take to heal? • When can I safely put full weight on my operated leg? • When should I start physiotherapy? • When would you recommend doing the second hip replacement?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you so much for your guidance.

Dear Consultants. Here are two things. The disease is diagnosed as JIA (Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis) to Ankolysing Spondylitis. Currently on Momentum Injection (Currently running treatment) and sulzone injection(Started after THR).
hi can you please let me know what was the reason for your surgery although your hips looks having advanced degenerative changes in both sides.Do you have any other joints issues . Your age is still young to have this intervention.regards

Yeah, it was JIA(Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis) and later became Ankylosing Spondylitis. Right now it's diagnosed as Ankylosing Spondylitis. Now both hips were damaged completely and one got THR (Total Hip Replacement) recently. 2ndly Yes, I have an issue in my left shoulder but it's not severe, as I am on medication like Momentum Injection to control the overall damaging situation. Now planning for 2nd THR after a few months to a Year.
