Asking for Self, Female, 20 years old, Lahore
My right knee arthroscopy was done on Thursday the 19th. I had one small muscle stitch/wash & inflammation was decompressed, overall have two stitches. Today is the 25th. When can I start putting weight on my right leg and walk on it? I mean, when will I be able to walk properly on both legs. Right now I'm using a walker by putting weight only on left legt not putting weight on right leg. Currently I've stitches & it will be removed after 10 days. Doctors can you please guide me about this weight bearing and when should i start proper physiotherapy.
Thank you
Weight bearing on the operated side depends upon the operative procedure which was done inside your knee . Best doctor to answer your concern and when to start putting weight and how much weight to put on is your operating Surgeon. Please ask him or read operating Surgeon post operative orders.

Ideally we advise Protected Weight bearing with Walker or clutches with 2nd week of surgery, Knee Range of motion advised after 3 weeks of surgery
but only Operating Surgeon shall get to decide your treatment plan as per his/her operative findings and his experience.
Multiple options and suggestions may worsen the expected outcome. Thanks
