Talk to Orthopedic Surgeon on Pain Underneath Breastbone/ribs
Asking For Self, Female, 29 Years old, khi
I’ve this pain for about 3-4 yrs underneath my breastbone (the inner/center side which connects to the ribs. The pain gets worse when i bend my upper body it feels like a sudden shooting pain as if something is coming up inside, the area feels tender to touch too but generally pain nahi hota sirf hath touch karne se ya bend karne se boht zada hai. Not sure which dr should i go to. Last year i had my pelvic u/s there i told the dr she said it might be gallbladder and we’d have to perform an ultrasound on an empty stomach but I don’t have any digestive issues or anything like that. Pls suggest

May be Costochondritis which is inflammation of the cartilage which connects ribs to breastbone . You need to see Orthopedic Surgeon to establish the diagnosis and than management.

No I have never taken any pain killers as the pain isn’t continuous as in i only feel it when bending/exercising or when i touch it. AlsoIs the u/s done on an empty stomach?
