: My leg slipped, causing knee pain. Later, I had a muscle cramp while swimming. After that, I experienced significap1111111nt swelling in the knee for over a month. Currently, the swelling has reduced but the knee does not straighten completely. The leg feels weak and loose
Needs orthopaedic assessment, or do MRI scan of knee
You need physical assessment by an orthopedic surgeon, followed by x-ray knee and/or MRI of the knee. Till then look up quadriceps isometric exercises on YouTube and start doing them.
Thank you. Agreed with other colleagues, you must see an orthopedic Surgeon near you for proper assessment necessary investigations to establish the diagnosis and than management. Meanwhile you can start following medicine for pain and inflammation. Diclofenac sodium 50 mg 1+1 after food. Omeprazole 20mg one tablet at night if you feel heartburn or pain in stomach. Nuberol forte 1+1 if more severe pain and for muscle spasm . Hope for the best Inshallah
