Asking for Someone Else, Sister, Female, 19 years old, Rawalpindi
A 17-year-old girl has difficulty straightening her middle finger, with no known history of trauma. X-ray: 3rd MCP joint subluxation. MRI: 3rd MCP subluxation with dorsal capsular rupture, collateral ligament tear and bone-marrow edema. A bone scan has also been advised. Looking for advice from experienced hand/upper-limb surgeons: What could be the possible cause, and what further evaluation or treatment would you recommend? MRI/X-ray reports can be shared for review. Any guidance or referral to an experienced hand surgeon would be greatly appreciated.
