Sprain In Left Foot

&quot;Hello Doctor, I twisted my foot and developed a severe sprain in my right foot. I have severe pain and swelling that is not reducing. I have already taken some painkiller tablets, but they did not provide any relief. Please guide me on which effective medicine I should take now and if I need an X-ray.&quot;

Can you bear weight on your right foot? In any case it needs proper physical examination and xrays of ankle/foot.

Thank you. Agreed with other respected colleagues. Two possibilities either ankle sprain or fracture. You need an x-ray to rule out fracture. After XRay of ankle/ foot you need to consult any orthopedic Surgeon near you for proper assessment. You may need a ankle/ foot splint or plaster ? depending upon diagnosis. Meanwhile do ice packing of your foot/ankle , keep your foot elevated . Hope for the best Inshallah. Regards
