Talk to Pediatrician on Child Having High Fever Due To Cough And Enlarged Tonsils Adenoids
Asking for Other, Male, 5 years old, Rawalpindi
My son age approximately 18 kg is having high fever since morning today child has cough probably due to asthma or may be allergies hence regularly giving him one 4 MG myteka tablet daily. One teaspoon pulmitac daily. CHILD has enlarged adenoids and tonsils since 2 years. We don't want to get tonsils and adenoids removed at least for next few years. Today again started giving Azomax antibiotic one teaspoon and will give for 5 days. IN MORNING we gave one teaspoon brufen syrup but within 3 hours child again having high fever. PLEASE ADVISE MEDICINE THAT is most effective for fever. Advise dosage and how many times per day for 5 years old child please. JazakAllah.

Increase the dose of Brufen to 2 teaspoon and give every 6 to 8 hours if fever comes back.
