Asking for Self, Male, 35 years old, Rawalpindi
Assalamualaikum, my newborn baby girl is 20days and since birth she is uncomfortable most of the time even while sleeping she starts grunting and pushing and face gets darker while doing so.. Is this due to gas and ignorable or any medication needed? se is so much gassy and popping well also..
I need a proper feeding history seems to be feeding issue that results in gas and colick issues
Newborns often grunt and strain due to an immature digestive system, which is usually normal. If your baby is feeding well, gaining weight, and has normal diapers, it’s generally not concerning. Try tummy massages, burping, and supervised tummy time to ease gas discomfort. However, see a doctor if there’s persistent crying, difficulty breathing, poor feeding, or blood in the stool. If you’re still worried, a pediatric check-up can provide reassurance.

TSH screen is useful for all babies to avoid long-term mental deficiency. Try colibid drops. 5 drops before each feed (for proper digestion of milk). And melatonin drops , 3 drops at night for good sleep
