Asking for Father, Male, 65 years old, Islamabad
He is physically fit otherwise and active but this problem arises a couple of days ago. He is currently on physiotherapy and analgesia but no appreciable recovery till date. I want to inquire about the dos n don’ts that would help him in a better quality of life. Plz help.

Dear you can't expect much results within 2 days, you should continue this for couple of weeks n then you can have much satisfactory results.

Do's
Go for general neck exercises
Apply massage over neck area if muscles are tight
Check if neck is stiff. If it is than go for releasing joints
Don'ts
Avoid long use of medication
Stop physiotherapy or change physiotherapist if symptoms are not changing as physiotherapy always produce change in 3 days

Physiotherapy will be better .. only solution is physiotherapy.. don’t go for medicines n other things .. he is aged and because of degenerative changes in body it happens and recovery may takes time too .. you can consult with me aswell .. Please continue Physiotherapy as cervical issues take some time to subside. One can specify Do's and dont's after physically assessing the patients so for now, it's better to follow your doctor advice. And if there is no pain now, then start cervical exercises.

physysical examination is required
first of tell us the patient sign n symptoms and details..
then it needs proper physical assessment and examination, then we go for diagnosis and proper treatment.
AOA if he is taking physical treatment there should be some improvement.some time improvement method is slow and depend on how much conditions is chronic.Take 2nd opinion.

After wards we can set a proper exercise plan for him..
Is he still suffering?
he must have some muscles spasm,must have to visit clinic ND give them facia release.. that will help to relax their muscular tension
