Asking for Brother, Male, 38 years old, Lahore
My brother is alp addictive . One doctor reccomend him for take some times when need some relex. But now he is addictive and taking about 3 to 4 tabs daily. All the side effects i can see in him . As 1-red bloodshot syes 2-withdrawal from family 3-mood swings 4-sudden changes behaviour 5-no time of sleep 6-weight gaining 7-not interest in any activity. Etc etc Please recommend what should i do for him. For one other genetic disorder purpose he is taking deltacortril ec 2 tabs. Please advice how he can be stable without these tabs. Which doctor is suitable for treatment . What kind of specialist. If you will recomend anyone it will be very good. If you can treat for these . Please let me know sir.
The apparent dependence on alp might be due to some other more serious psychiatric disorder such as anxiety disorders or depression. Taking deltacortil also increases this risk.surely he needs a thorough psychiatric evaluation. The best that you can do to him is to convince him to get expert help instead of trying and error.
Yes you got it right.I meant that instead of trying to treat himself by medication like alp he should see a psychiatrist.
