Asking For Self, Female 35, Uk
I am 13 weeks pregnant. I been taking sertiline or zoloft for 4 years before my this pregnancy. I left sertiline last year. but now, in this pregnancy I am struggling with depression. I can't control my worries because of my some household issues. One of my child is already autistic. and in that pregnancy , i been through depression but didn't take any antidepressants. Now my Dr said to me if I want, i can start sertiline, but i have a fear of side effects on my unborn child because the other child is autistic. I don't know what to do? please help me with honest advice about using antidepressants during pregnancy?
If you need online consultation for this, you can consult me online
u can go back on Zoloft under psychiatrist monitoring and supervision

you can also book an appointment with me.
thank you
Hi I am based in uk and under supervision Sertraline is quite safe to be used in pregnency. It is matter of balance between taking meds or not taking meds during pregnency . Autism is not related with it in any reseach or studies yet. Speak to your Gp and folliw their advice. You can also benefit with additional psychological therapy . Best wishes
