Asking for Self, Male, 24 years old, Kuwait City
I am a 24-year-old man. I would like to explain the symptoms I have experienced over approximately the past seven years and understand what might be causing them. 1. Symptoms during school When I was at school, I sometimes felt as though I was going to fall or could not maintain my balance while standing during morning assembly. I experienced similar feelings while sitting in the examination hall. When I argue with someone, my body starts shaking, my heart beats very fast, and my hands shake. These physical reactions make me concerned, and I would like to understand why they happen. 4. Repetitive thoughts and concentration difficulties For several months, I have experienced repetitive thoughts, especially related to conversations. When someone speaks to me, their words repeat automatically in my mind, even when I do not want them to. I repeatedly replay conversations and feel that I need to remember what people said. This happens during conversations, afterward, and even when I am alone or doing other activities. Sometimes my mind feels crowded, and I struggle to concentrate or find my own words. I find it difficult to stop the repetition and sometimes struggle to distinguish between my own inner thoughts and mentally replaying another person's voice. These experiences cause me significant stress and feel difficult to control. also experience pain at the back of my head, and I would like to have this assessed. My earlier balance problems have now gone away, but other symptoms have continued or changed over time.
AOAWRWB thank you for reaching out at marham. I understand this is a difficult situation and it must've been causing you a lot of trouble. The problem with psychiatric disorders is that we cannot start treatment symptomatically. We need to establish a diagnosis according to the guidelines to start treatment. This requires an indepth psychiatric assessment. Reach out to a mental health professional to help with your symptoms!

I understand how distressing these symptoms can be. In a psychological session, we can explore your repetitive thoughts, anxiety triggers, and concentration difficulties and work on effective coping strategies. Since these symptoms have persisted for a long time, I also recommend an assessment by a psychologist to understand your needs and determine the appropriate support. You don’t have to deal with this alone.
