Hello Mam.
I started my psychiatric treatment in 2016 with Citanew 10mg and Xanax .5mg daily. My diagnosis was mixed anxiety, depression and OCD. Later on doctor advised me tab. Wizen with Citanew in 2017.
In 2018 doctor changed my medication from Citanew to Epival 1000mg and Wizen 1mg daily with the diagnosis Bipolar Affective Disorder. In September 2021 this treatment plan was changed by another doctor with Aripiprazole 10mg and Lamotrigine 25mg(gradually increased to 100mg). Currently I am taking lamotrigine 100mg and Aripiprazole 10mg daily.

if your diagnosis is bipolar affective disorder, you first need to understand that this is a life long illness and you will have episode of depression/elation whenever there is any kind of stressor in your life. that also means it is quite likely that you will need to take medicines for a long time to stay in euthymic mood, most likely for life. but if you remain compliant with your medication its likely that the dose required to keep you in remission will be minimal
