i am taking effexor xr since 3 years for depression 。 i got recently diagnosed with OCD. my current effexor xr 375 dose was not helping for my ocd so my psychiatrist tried add clomipramine 150 my effexor xr . but it didnt helped. after this we add resperidon with my current effexorxr which we stopped due to severe side effects. know is there any option we should try for my depression and OCD both. need suggestion or opinion plzzz
Look can you please tell me in percentage how much do you get better then your initial condition after taking effexor?? This is very important to know

i am a student going university. 375 mg i got better almost 100 %

Salam, sorry to hear that you are not doing well. I don’t regularly use Risperidone because of their EPSE in patients with OCD. My preferred choices are Quetiapine or Aripiprazole. However there is also need for CBT from an experienced clinical psychologist to help with the psychological elements of OCD. Happy to offer my assistance if needed.
