Asking For Sister, Female 30, islamabad
refer question to just psychiatrists. My sister is on zoloft150mg, clompiril 150mg,vepridone2.5 mg clozapine 100mg for 4 years now diagnosed with schizophrenia plus ocd of sexual thoughts.after complete recovery of 2 years she quit medicines and relapsed.I have consulted almost 50 doctors so far for her and for almost 2 weeks she feels quite better and after almost 2 weeks depression,fear of people,sexual thoughts,why her illness fluctuates why not her condition remains same.if patient is unwell he remains unwell all the time.But its a mystery so far for doctors why her condition alters. Why doctors are not able to treat. is it impossible to treat if so why a psychiarist treated her in past but now doctor is passed away. kindly anyone if knows any solution or any suggestion inform me i m too much worried and wasted huge sums of money...
Thank you for sharing the history.This is indeed a very stressful time for the family and of course for the person who is passing through this.It is clear from the medication that she is treatment resistant and this is the reason why she is on clozapine.It looks like that there is an interplay of psychosocial,environmental and emotional distress that seems to have a new episode of psychotic symptoms .Expressed emotion can also lead to relapse and it is not a good idea to see psychiatrist at this much frequency because she and the carer will become confused with too many recommendations.Try to seek advice from one psychiatrist and she definitely need a thorough assessment and advice.Thank you for taking care of her and wishing speedy recovery for her.

i consulted senior ones gave proper time to each dr before moving on to next one. i am worried what i have to do now as she is unwell.why doctors here are not that competent to treat her.
