Talk to Psychiatry on Religious OCD

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Male, 27 years old, Lahore

Since Sept 2024, I have been facing religious OCD/unexplained anxiety. It started after I had been consuming huge nicotine (vaping) I started taking Brintellix in Dec which controlled my anxiety but OCD increased. Then I switched to Sert almost a month ago. OCD improving but still to go. I feel that these medicines have caused my OCD to surface up.

1st line therapy in OCD is psychotherapy along with medication to manage the symptoms, kindly book a psychiatrist's consultation for detailed history and proper treatment plan.

But doctor, I feel that these symptoms came out when I started Brintellix.
I never had OCD ever in my life before. But now I feel I'm forgetting things, i redo things and feel I haven't done which I am already in process of doing
