Talk to Psychiatry on Risperidone Side Effect Akathaisia

AoA. I'm currently on flux 20 mg and risp 1 mg. Risp is causing me insomnia and restlessness / akathaisia. is there any similar drug that can be tried instead of risperidone under doc supervision. issue is existential OCD and low mood but better with medication.

Wa alaikum assalam. Risperidone ki waja say akathisia ho sakta. Discuss it with your psychiatrist.. he/she may adjust or may use an alternative med. Khud say medicine na chiorein

It’s great that you are significantly better, these side effects are being caused by risp so stop it for now, if symptoms worsen then build dose of fluoxetine instead to 20 mg 2 capsules.. you will improve further hopefully
