Hi, Hope Everyone is doing great I am facing social anxiety disorder the fear of evaluation and being judged for the things i failed to achieve. symptioms are Forehead sweating and sqeeuzing head Doctor suggested me Escitalopran 10mg for 15 days. Can i use this for long term ??? Please suggest any other medication with escitalopram because so far i did't get results with it for use of 15 days.

Escitalopram is a good and recommended medicine for Social Anxiety Disorder and it is recommended to complete a year course with this kind of medicine. Antidepressants like Escitalopram usually takes 2-4 weeks in reducing symptoms so better to wait for 2 more weeks and then consult you doctor.
aoa dear.i can understand your problem. usually escitalopram take 2 to 4 weeks to start its anti depressant effect.you may have to continue treatment after recovery from single episode for at least 6 to 9 months but under strict supervision of psychiatrist and as advised by him/her.
