Talk to Psychiatry on Unwanted Sexual Intercourse

Asking for Someone Else, Other, Female, 24 years old, Mithi

Hello Doctor, I need confidential advice about a personal problem. My husband uses drugs and, when intoxicated, forces sexual intercourse despite my refusal. I cry and ask him to stop, but he does not.

Is there any safe medical treatment, protective method, or other solution that could help prevent or resist unwanted intercourse, or make him lose sexual interest in me and stop trying to have sex with me, without harming my body?

Please guide me confidentially.

I’m really sorry you are experiencing this. If you clearly refuse and your husband continues, this is sexual violence, and you are not responsible for his behavior. There is no safe medicine or contraceptive method that can make you lose sexual interest or physically prevent someone from forcing intercourse.

Your immediate safety is the priority. If you are in immediate danger, try to move to a safer place and contact someone you trust or local emergency/support services. A confidential psychological session can help you process what you are experiencing, develop a personalized safety plan, and connect you with appropriate medical, legal, or domestic-violence support if you want. If there has been recent forced intercourse, a medical assessment can also help address injuries, pregnancy prevention, and STI concerns.

You deserve to have your boundaries and consent respected, and you do not have to face this alone.
