Asking For Self, Female 30, Lahore
I take psychiatric medicines due to which I did over eating for years and gained alot of weight. How to reduce weight? my belly fat is too much.
Weight gain is a very common side effect of some psychiatric medicines, especially when they increase appetite and slow metabolism. First, do not stop your medicines on your own, because your mental health is the priority. Talk to your psychiatrist about your weight gain.often the dose can be adjusted or a more weight neutral alternative can be considered. For weight reduction, focus on small, consistent changes. eat regular meals, reduce sugary drinks, fried foods, and late night eating, and increase protein, vegetables, and fiber to control hunger. Start daily walking (30–40 minutes)and add light strength exercises if possible, as this helps reduce belly fat over time. Good sleep and stress control also matter a lot. With the right medication plan and lifestyle changes, weight loss is possible even after psychiatric medicines.
