I have been suffering from depression and anxiety since last year. Mistakenly went to a cardiologist and he recommended me Alprazolam for a week then told me to switch to Inderal and have been taking it since then. Physical symptoms are in control due to the medicine but there's too much going on inside my head that is causing me to lose focus,have poor memory, oversleeping,less eating and zero motivation. I want to consult a psychiatrist for medication as I cannot afford therapy. What should I do?

You only have one major problem related to anxiety or depression and one is comorbid. You need proper assessment and counselling so you can taper off your medicine and back to functional life without medicine.

First of do u know what is the difference between depression and anxiety. We normally use these terms. So dont label urself according to ur knowledge. Whatsoever problem u have pl get professional help. One important that these problems are nit treated with medicines. Medicines can help u to sleep but the these problems are treated in waking condition.
