Talk to Psychologist on Depression Anxiety

person-avatar

Asking For Self, Male 29, Lahore, Pakistan

I'm struggling with depression and anxiety, which makes me excessively worry about even the smallest things. My mind constantly races with thoughts about various issues, leaving me feeling restless and unable to relax. I've lost clarity on what's truly important to me, and everything seems to carry the same weight. I'm finding it challenging to prioritize and distinguish between what truly matters and what doesn't. How can I break free from this cycle and regain control over my thoughts and emotions?

I'm hesitant to open up to others due to my shy nature. Furthermore, I have a hard time trusting people, which makes it even more challenging for me to consider seeking help through counseling. The thought of sharing my personal struggles with a stranger is daunting, leaving me feeling stuck and unsure of how to move forward.

start maintaining a journal of negative thoughts to seperate these thoughts from other thoughts and find closure. For all negative thoughts assess the nature and practice forgivness.
These thoughts might also be the result of a trauma so instead of supressing your trauma, process it and give yourself time to overcome it.

I can see now that it is difficult for you to share your information with others, but that's the only way out for now. What you can do is to search for the counselor whom you can trust because you need psychotherapy.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. Struggling with depression and anxiety can be overwhelming, especially when it leads to constant worry and racing thoughts. Here are some steps that may help you regain clarity and control over your thoughts and emotions:

1. Acknowledge Your Feelings
2. Practice Mindfulness
3. Set Priorities
4. Challenge Negative Thoughts
5. Create Space for Relaxation
