yes you are right sertraline ( Zoloft) and Escitalopram ( lexapro) both are SSRls but Lexapro is prescribed to treat depression and generalized anxiety disorder. Zoloft is prescribed to treat depression, obsessive compulsive disorder and several other mental health problems.

there are some difference in their side effect Lezapro cause sleep problems and taste disturbances, and Zoloft more likely to cause skin rash or diarrhea

Both underlie in same categories of anti-depressants but each has different function . escitalopram is better for social anxiety, somatic complaints in anxiety, generalized anxiety. and sertraline is best for depression, OCD etc
