Asking for Self, Male, 29 years old, Lahore
Please tag Psychologists. A male 29, unmarried and virgin, who never had any kind of sexual activity. Have Social and Generalized Anxiety, self-doubt, this thing should have been done/said like this not that, constant need of re-assurance obsessive recurring thinking/thoughts, low self-esteem, self-confidence hitting bottom line, consider himself worthless, bad at doing things and have other issues like above etc.. have a lot of sex myths, no clarity on sexual health issues like penis size, masturbation, porno, orgasm, what females want/need in bed, are females sexually submissive, do they like being dominated by spouse etc... So until now, H was on different drugs advised by Psychiatrist. now want psychotherapy, As he has read on internet that therapy is 70% effective and drugs are 30% in these issues. So he need experienced psychologist plus sextherapist for online and inclinic sessions and one who can talk without hesitation on above issues as patient is too shy.

Sexual issues and disorders are very common but under-reported. Very right about efficacy of psychotherapy sessions as such sessions can help patient deal with these issues. I am available for providing therapy for sexual and other issues.

thanks Dr Rakia sahiba for detailed reply. Sorry for my late reply, was having difficulty with submit button. Which one online therapy or inclinic sessions are more effective? What is session duration of initial and followup visits? Wouldn't male therapist be more ''suitable'' for psycho-sexual issue for males ? (although there aren't many, all repliers to my post are female therapists)

It is ok.. Both online and clinic sessions can be helpful.. Psychologists who deal with sexual issues usually provide therapy to both males and females so not a big deal but if you are comfortable getting treatment from male psychologist then they are also available as I know few but not sure through MARHAM or not

What would be the duration of sessions for both psycho and sexual issues? Are you sextherapist too besides psychologist? Do you see male patients for therapy? Just asking not to get into awkward situation. hope u understand.

This might be embarrassing for many to talk but
be reassured Sex addiction ( excessive masturbation / Sexual thought ) is a treatable disease,usually related to some underlying psychological issues.
