Hi Dr I m asking for my 4.3 year old son who accidently watched monster cartoons and since then he is scared alot. He doesnt go to washroom alone, if I m in washroom he will keep sitting near the door till I come out. This is eefecting his routine as in his school he is supposed to go to washroom.alone so teachers dont help him. And as a result he tries to hold his pee/poop and sometimes he makes accidents and all his pants get dirty. He wasnt like this before. Please help me with this problem. I cant ask a dr here in sweden as they might take it as a child negligence and can snatch my kid too

Please spend more healthy time with your kid aiming to resolve the the issue. He wil certainly be fine with a passage of time.
Don't impose anything to him at the moment. Take it easy and try to work for the benefit of child.

these things happen and are common with children. i dont think that the psychlogist wd consider it ur negligence. maybe ur overthinking about it. dont let the phobia get strengthened. the more he will avoid being alone n seek protective behaviours the more the phobia will strengthen. pls xpln ur point to the doctor n get him treated. there might b some other reason why hes doing this pls get him checked.
