Sudden Sleep At Night

Question

One on my friend who is epileptic got asleep soon after taking his medicines in night. His marital relationship getting disturbed due to this. 
As he takes medicines, his eyes get red and he gets asleep within 5 min. Despite of trying he can\'t keep himself awake.
Please advise what he should do. 
He takes epilepsy medicines 3 times a day.
