If the patient is suicidal, it is advised that they are taken to a psychiatrist first for meds. After that also start counselling and it is better if the initial sessions are on a one to one session based instead of online.
It's batter for her to take face to face session as u tell she had suicidal thoughts. Online therapeutic sessions not as much affective in critical situations.
