Can anyone physician tell me what to do when diagnosed with wilson disease. My parents both are doctors and they are worried. The disease involves neurophysician, gastroenterologist and endocrinologist. Thus often goes undiagnosed. Can anyone guide which doctor or hospital might be the best to deal with this situation?(in karachi). Also any alternatives to penicalimine which recent research points out? Thank you!

First, Wilson’s disease, though very difficult to diagnose, is not that a mysterious disease as there are a number of diagnosed patients in Pakistan (and across the globe), all facing the same dilemma that quality treatment is not available and if available is difficult to find and afford.

My suggestion is to find out an expert with research work on this disease. Secondly an expert with background of working in Europe would help..Only approach neurologists for this purpose. However making life better and functioning improvement seek help from a therapist to deal with this frustration
