Talk to Pulmonologist / Lung on Chest Discomfort, Pressure
Asking For Self, Male 33, Karachi
hello, I have been diagnosed with hypertension a 15 days ago , it's first time in my life. I feel chest discomfort and free on left side of chest.
my ECG report and echocardiogram report are normal. doctor said, you just have high blood pressure.
my question is, if ECG and echocardiogram reports are normal , then, the chest discomfort is only because of hypertension??
am taking medicine of hypertension as my doctor prescribed me ??

a resting normal ECG and ECHO does not rule out underlying coronary artery disease.
your symptoms can be due to hypertension as well and due to other causes.
whether you need further stress testing regarding coronary artery disease or not that can be decided after seeing you in clinics along with your reports.
I would suggest you to visit my clinic for proper evaluation and further management plan.

If your Ecg and Echo reports are normal and still chest discomfort is there,thn you should consult with medical specialist for further evaluation,and as he prescribed you medications for hypertension you should start them,but again you should visit for further evaluation.
